Meighen Haddad LLP is pleased to announce Jill Giesbrecht as the firm’s newest partner. Jill has been a member of our team of trusted legal advisors since 2018. She has focused her practice primarily on family law and has established herself as a respected family law practitioner in our province, known for her expertise, professionalism and commitment to clients.
Jill assists her family law clients in resolving issues related to their separations and divorces, including parenting arrangements, child support and spousal support arrangements, and the division of family property. She works diligently with clients to resolve their family matters through negotiated agreements and the court system. Jill also handles prenuptial/cohabitation agreements for her family clients. In addition to her family law practice, Jill also handles real estate transactions, corporate matters, estate planning, and estate administration matters for her clients.
Jill studied in the Faculty of Arts at Brandon University before receiving her Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba. She is currently a representative for the Western/Dauphin region of the Manitoba Bar Association Council and previously served as president of the Western Manitoba Bar Association. Jill enjoys giving back to the community – she is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Brandon and volunteers her time at various local organizations including the Western Manitoba Women’s Centre.
