Community Involvement

Meighen Haddad LLP exemplifies its commitment to making a difference in the lives of people by supporting worthwhile community programs across Westman. These initiatives promote local economic development, education, healthcare, children’s causes and other programs that support the disadvantaged.

Below are some of the programs that we have supported:

Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Foundation

Through its partnership with ACC Foundation, Meighen Haddad LLP commits to supporting quality higher education. Most recently, the Firm supported the ACC Foundation Legacy Gala Dinner that raised funds for Black-LatinX-Afro-Caribbean (BLxAC) students enrolled across ACC programs.

Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation

The Brandon Regional Health Centre (BRHC) Foundation  is committed to raising funds to support healthcare needs in the region. On several occasions, Meighen Haddad LLP has provided assistance to BRHC Foundation to help meet the growing needs of healthcare in the community.

Easter Seals Curling Bonspiel Fundraiser

Easter Seals is a non-profit organization that provides services for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, physical and mental disabilities and other special needs. Meighen Haddad LLP has supported Easter Seals Brandon Chapter’s Curling Bonspiel fundraising event that helps kids with physical disabilities go to camp and enjoy friendship and fun in the summer.

President’s Dinner

Meighen Haddad LLP has been supporting the President’s Dinner, an annual event organized by the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba. The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is a non-profit organization that aims to showcase agriculture and link urban and rural through education and awareness while providing entertainment, community pride, and economic enhancement to the region.

YWCA Women of Distinction Awards

Meighen Haddad LLP celebrates the achievements of inspiring women who are driving significant changes in their communities by supporting the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. The annual fundraising event recognizes nominated women from across Manitoba who are driving positive change either directly or by example.

Westman Immigrant Services “Welcome to Brandon” Program

Welcome to Brandon is a settlement information and orientation program organized by Westman Immigrant Services for newcomers who are permanent residents in the Westman area. Meighen Haddad LLP lawyers are often invited to the workshop to give a general overview of the Canadian legal system and discuss a variety of legal topics that empower and inform new immigrants, refugees and their families.
