Laura received her Bachelor of Civil Law and a Bachelor of Common Law from McGill University in Montreal. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Brandon University in political science and history. Laura completed her articles in 2005, and articled and practiced as an Associate at the Firm until 2014. Laura became a Partner in 2015.

Laura has a solicitor’s practice, and practices in the Souris branch office on a full-time basis. Her practice areas include real estate, wills and estates, agribusiness and corporate commercial work, primarily serving farm and small business clients.

Laura has been active in her community, serving formerly as Chair of the Brandon University Board of Directors, a board member of the Assiniboine Regional Health Authority, the Souris-District Arts Council, the Women’s Resource Centre and the Souris Cooperative Daycare Centre. She is currently involved with her husband in the Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers program and is a member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors. Laura and her husband operate a grain and oilseeds farm near Souris, and they have three exceptionally wonderful daughters.
