We have been advising clients in the area of municipal
law for over 100 years. Our firm is presently counsel
to several municipalities and local government districts.
We are also very active in representing municipal
corporations and taxpayers with respect to realty
and business taxation matters
Our firm provides a complete service in all areas
of municipal law. Our lawyers are active in assisting
Municipalities in various matters, such as those relating
to municipal elections, municipal officials and conflicts
of interest, the exercise of municipal powers, zoning
and building construction, municipal taxation, drafting
and enforcement of municipal by-laws and resolutions,
expropriations, trade and business regulation, incorporation
and boundaries, and actions by and against municipal
corporations.
In addition we advise on development agreements, tax
sales, insurance, environmental issues, annexations
and amalgamations, intergovernmental agreements and
employment matters. Our firm also acts on behalf of
public, corporate and individual clients in relation
to subdivision, development and zoning approvals,
municipal assessment and taxation and expropriation.
Our lawyers have extensive experience before Municipal
Councils, Boards of Revision, the Manitoba Municipal
Board, the Land Value Appraisal Commission and at
