Our appear in all courts of Manitoba, all Federal
courts and the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of

financial institutions as well as individual litigants.
We
provide counsel in such areas as medical and other
professional negligence, insurance claims (defence
and subrogation including property and casualty),
products liability, accident, sickness and life claims,
as well as media law, defamation, wrongful dismissal,
arbitrations, expropriation, receivership and an extensive
range of contractual disputes, corporate, intellectual
property, commercial and construction related issues.
We are also active in all facets of resolving disputes
outside court, by innovative alternative dispute resolution
processes.
In addition to preparation and appearance in litigation
matters, we also represent clients in bankruptcy and
insolvency issues, at disciplinary hearings, and before
various municipal, provincial and federal administrative
tribunals and regulatory bodies.
Our firm’s approach to litigation is to assert
our clients’ interests aggressively, but in
a manner that reduces both the costs and risks involved
in litigation. Our lawyers are sensitive to resolving
its clients’ problems in the most beneficial
and cost-effective terms, seeking favourable settlements
where possible, and using alternative dispute resolution
such as arbitration or mediation where appropriate.
However, full-scale litigation is inevitable in some
disputes, and our firm has enormous trial experience
from investigations, negotiations for settlement and
pre-trial proceedings through trials and to appeals
in federal and provincial courts, and proceedings
before administrative agencies. Each matter receives
