Meighen Haddad LLP has a long standing relationship

care institutions and a number health care practitioners
in Brandon and Southwestern Manitoba. As a result,
our lawyers are well versed in areas such as privacy,
standard of care, competency, liability and patient’s
rights. We provide comprehensive advice to our health
care providers which goes beyond health care. Examples
include advice on RFPs, information technology agreement,
construction, and relationships with governments and
other publicly funded service providers.
Much of our practice relates to privacy law and
we are well versed in all aspects of applicable legislation
such as the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA),
the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
Act (FIPPA), and The Personal Information and Protection
of Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Our solicitors also assist our individual clients
with the preparation of health care directives and
with matters relating to dealings with the Public
Trustee or with private committeeships in matters
where a family member is no longer able to look after
their own financial affairs..
