Patricia
L. Fraser, B.Sc., M.A., LL.B.
Originally from Southwestern Manitoba, Pat has obtained
her Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University,
her Master of Arts (Economics) from the University
of Calgary and her Bachelor of Laws from the University
of Manitoba.
After
serving eight years as an economist with the Governments
of British Columbia and Yukon, Pat returned to Law
School. She articled with Meighen Haddad & Co.
and in 1988 received her call to the Bar. Pat became
a partner with the firm in 1993 being the first woman
partner in the firm’s history.
Pat is currently serving her third term as an elected
Bencher to the Law Society of Manitoba where she has
served on many committees including chairing the Discipline
and the Complaints Investigation Committees. Pat is
also an active community member and has served on
numerous community boards including the Brandon Regional
Health Authority Ethics Committee for the past several
years.
As our attending lawyer to the Virden branch office,
Pat engages in a general practice. The focus of her
practice, however, is on family law issues, real estate
matters, corporate and commercial matters and wills
and estates.
