Derek
D. Cullen, B.A., LL.B.
Derek Cullen was born and raised in Brandon. After
traveling extensively, he received his undergraduate
degree from Carleton University and the University
of Manitoba in 1993. Derek then received his law degree
from the University of Victoria, and received his
call to the Manitoba Bar in 1998. He articled and
practiced as an associate with Meighen, Haddad &
Co. until 2002 and became a partner in the firm in
2003.
Derek
also has been an instructor in law related courses
at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, and a
sessional instructor for the Bar Admission Course
of Manitoba. He has also volunteered his time as an
elected Director of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce
and in the past, he has been a Director of the CNIB
Board and cabinet and campaign member of the United
Way.
Derek's
preferred practice areas are construction law and
Builders' Liens, and all types of commercial and civil
litigation. Derek also carries on a busy residential
and commercial real estate practice and regularly
advises his business clients on all business matters,
including employment issues and administrative law.
