The firm of Meighen Haddad LLP is fortunate
in its vast range of experience and expertise in criminal
law matters. The various lawyers share a commitment
to the defence of civil liberties and have argued
many criminal law issues and cases both at trial and
before the Manitoba Appeal Court. The various lawyers
have provided advice and representation to various
members of the community who have been charged with
criminal offences. The firm has seen them through
the investigative process where charges are laid,
the trial and sentencing issues at the various court
levels. The firm has also had the opportunity to represent
parties and organizations with criminal law charges
which have been laid as they relate to the breeches
of labour law, workplace criminal investigations,
child welfare inquiries and picket line misconduct.
In
addition to appearing before the various courts in
the Province, the various members of the law firm
have also had the privilege of representing the parties
charged in these circumstances before different Board
and, licencing authorities. Charges are brought not
only under Federal Legislation through the Criminal
Code but pursuant to the breeches of the various Provincial
Legislation Authorities mandated for the enforcement
of those laws at both the Provincial or Municipal
levels.
