Confidentiality
and Conflicts
While
we appreciate hearing from you, if your inquiry concerns
a legal matter, we cannot represent you until we know that
in doing so it will not create a conflict of interest and
please do not send us any information about any matter that
may involve you, or disclose any confidential or sensitive
information to us, until you receive confirmation from one
of our lawyers that we will represent you.
The
best way for you to initiate a possible representation is
to call one of our offices and arrange to speak with one
of our lawyers who is best able to respond to your inquiries
and handle your matter. Before undertaking any representation,
however, the lawyer will first take you through our conflict
of interest procedure.
Be
advised that your transmission of an email request for information
or representation does not create a solicitor-client relationship
between you and any Meighen, Haddad & Co. lawyer and
does not create any obligation by our Firm to respond to
your question or handle your legal concern in any way.
When
you receive an engagement letter from our Firm, or are told
by one of our lawyers that we are able to represent you,
you will be our client and may exchange information freely.
