Bernard (Bernie) Rodrigue is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, having received
his degree, a Bachelor of Laws in 1972, at the very early age of 22 years. Bernie
was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1973 and served his Articles with Meighen, Haddad
& Co. in 1973 and stayed with the firm until 1976.
He left the firm to practice
in Winnipeg from 1976 to 1980 with the law firm of Marcoux Durreault & Associates,
a law firm rendering legal services in both the French and English language. He
returned to live in Brandon, Manitoba, and to practice with Meighen, Haddad &
Co as a partner in 1980.
Bernie has developed a successful practice in the course of his 37 years in family,
criminal and civil litigation and has been successful in developing as well a practice
in real estate and estate matters. He is very active politically and with the Canadian
National Institute of the Blind, raising funds for the organization for the
past 15 years. He is fully bilingual and is able to converse in both the English
and French languages.
